The vibrant, colourful capital of the South-west France, Toulouse is known as the “Ville Rose” because of its distinctive red-brick architecture. France’s fourth largest metropolis is almost halfway between the Mediterranean and the Atlantic but linked with both by The Garonne River & the Canal du Midi. It also lays on the plains leading to the Pyrenees – making it an ideal trading crossroads that dates back centuries. This is a cosmopolitan city with a deep cultural heritage.

Place du Capitole is Toulouse’s magnificent main square at the heart of the city.

From there you can discover the Old Square with its network of lanes and squares, it’s antique shops as well as the many cafes and restaurants. Take a stroll up the pedestrian Rue du Taur to the impressive Basilique St-Sernin named after Toulouse’s first bishop who died after being tied to a bull by pagan priests and whose tomb can be visited.
